October is a powerful and dynamic month starting out with a New Moon Solar eclipse in Libra, the last eclipse in this sign until 2033, two major planets turning directions, a particularly chaotic full moon in Aries, and then we head into Scorpio season with Halloween gracing us with both the Sun and Moon in Scorpio and Mercury making a trine to Neptune. OOOhhhhh....the veil will be thin for sure around this day. Let's dive into the major transits of the month.
Oct. 2nd - New Moon solar eclipse in Libra - this is a south node karmic eclipse asking us to "finally" let go of something or someone that isn't bringing a sense of balance and harmony into our lives. We all have been working on a particular "libra" area of our birth chart for about a year and a half so this is the finale to clean the slate so you can bring fresh new energy into your life. The ruler of the eclipse is Venus diving deep into the depths of Scorpio, so you may have to tackle some final fears and uncertainties to find that ultimate healing moment. Thankfully, with a Grand Water Trine supporting us, the Universe is asking us to use our intuition, go into the heart, and assess in our mind where our thoughts and beliefs are about where we want to be. Then act accordingly. Are you feeling overwhelmed? Maybe underwhelmed? Create new habits now as the universe is giving you one last chance to work on finding balance and harmony in our lives for a while. This is an overall positive and fairly mild eclipse. Oct. 9th - Jupiter goes Retrograde - Jupiter, the planet of luck, abundance, growth and success, has been traveling through Gemini, the sign of information, since May of this year. Now Jupiter slows down, turns direction and has us do some internal work as to assessing where our thought patterns and belief systems lie around where we want to bring success and growth into our lives. Take a look what house Jupiter is transiting in your chart (if you don't know, you can always book a reading with me). That area might slow down a little while Jupiter makes sure the words you speak and the thoughts you think are in line with what your desires are. Jupiter will make his retrograde journey until February 4th 2025.
Oct. 11th - Pluto goes Direct at 29 degrees Capricorn - Pluto, the planet of power, and transformation, finally ends his retrograde track for the last time in Capricorn ever in our lifetime. Moving direct at the fated 29th degree of the sign ruling governments, career, public status, politics, and big business, Pluto will now reveal the final steps and actions meant to overhaul the Capricorn systems of our world. Pluto will be direct at the 29th degree during the U.S. election and finally permanently end his transformation journey through our powerful world systems and structures in mid - November.
Oct. 13th - Mercury moves into Scorpio and squares Pluto - Mercury, the sign of communication and our thought processes, will be the second planet to grace the depths of Scorpio for the next few weeks and makes a dynamic aspect to Pluto as well. Expect major disclosure during this time, personally and collectively, secrets to be revealed and truths to come out. Your intuition will be on point and as I say, "your BS meter on high alert." This is a great time to dive deep into researching something or investigating something as well.
Oct. 17th - Full Moon in Aries - This particular full moon will be of the most dynamic and powerful energy we've seen in a while. This is the culmination energy of the month we are building up to. The energy will be hitting all four cardinal signs in tense aspects, which represent action and movement energy. The best way to work with this particular full moon and its potential effects is to focus on your everyday internal compass and reality. Do your best to intentionally create as much love, peace and harmony in your individual life as possible. Whatever happens collectively during this time, do your best to "observe and not absorb." Remember, you are in charge of your own thoughts and emotions.
Oct. 22nd - Sun enters Scorpio marking Scorpio season. Happy Birthday to all the Scorpio's out there! The sun will also square Pluto that day making it an extra powerful day to be strong, confident, empowered and resilient. This can bring profound healing that day as well - just watch for power games and manipulation tactics from others.
Oct. 31st - Halloween - There are no MAJOR aspects occurring this day BUT it is interesting to note that the moon will move into the sign of Scorpio as well and join the sun at 1:30PM EST while Mercury trines Neptune. This will heighten our intuition and psychic abilities as well as make the collective veil especially thin. What a perfect set up for a holiday night filled with spooky fun.
