Happy September 1st! The energetic intensity of August now starts to dissipate as the planets shift signs and we move into a more mutable and flexible energy. We are officially in Virgo season, symbolically represented by the Virgin, and the theme around this energy is self-improvement, organization, and service to others. In Western Astrology, Virgo season is associated with Health and Wellness as Virgo rules over these areas, so this month is a great time to re-assess how we are treating and nourishing our divine temple (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.)
We have two main astrological events this month including a Mercury retrograde in Libra and the Fall Equinox when the Sun moves into the sign of Libra as well. Mercury Retrogrades are a time for review, revisitation, and reassessment of things in our lives. The theme around this particular Mercury retrograde occurring on September 9th will be connections with others as it falls in the sign of Libra. Don’t be surprised if someone from your past shows back up in your life as you may have some unfinished business to attend to. As Mercury retrograde will dip back briefly into Virgo, make sure to use discernment when determining if that connection will be beneficial to you in the future.
The fall equinox that occurs on the 22nd is always a major astrological event to take note of. The Equinox occurs when we have equal time of day and night. These occur two times per year, once in the Spring and then again in the Fall. As Equinox means equal, this time is meant to bring equality and balance to the “Me” and the “We.” Are the relationships and connections in our lives balanced and harmonious?
We also have an auspicious Full Moon in Pisces on the 10th, which can be extremely emotional and healing, as well as a New Moon in Libra on the 25th. After re-assessing if our current relationships and connections are bringing us the harmony and fulfillment we need, the New Moon allows us to wipe the slate clean and start again with the intent to build something better aligned with our current path and vibration. · Sept. 5th – Venus moves from proud Leo to service-oriented Virgo – Virgo’s love language is “acts of service”, so this is a great time to help out someone you care about with a project or goal.
